Tales from Camp Lure - Summer 2004 |
|
Now the days are getting shorter, the sunsets more colorful, and the leaves a shade brighter. If you are not from the Adirondack mountain region, I wish you were here to see it. I’ve been writing lots of songs like a good songwriter should. One called “She Loves Me Too” is especially catchy and another called “Kesey’s Song” is especially dark and moody. I’ll tell you the story behind it in the clubs and coffee houses I’ll be playing this fall. We had a great time at The Point in Bryn Mawr last June. It was great to see so many friends and fans come out to see me and the guys. I hope you’ll all come back to The Point this September when we play there again. I can’t answer all the mail we get on this web site personally but the newsletter will be an ongoing feature which I will update monthly to answer questions and let you know what’s happening. There will also be a tour schedule listed and updated as the dates come in. The fall tour begins on August 28th and 29th with the Philly Folk Fest which I am very excited about. It has been a long dream of mine to play there. (I used to cook hamburgers in the food tent to get a free ticket when I was a kid.) Then we’re in Atlantic City at the Hilton, on the Beach, with Southside Johnny - on September 11th. September 17th we’re back at The Point in Bryn Mawr. Those are the highlights. Hope you can come out and see us. The records are selling well. I have them in fine stores all over the Adirondack Park and hopefully in a store near you sometime soon. But for now roberthazard.com is the best place to buy them. That’s all for now. Peace - Robert Hazard
